Big Step For Barefoot As New Showroom Opens Its Doors

The sensational home of Floor Couture, Barefoot’s newly-opened multi-million pound showroom – created in the heart of the South Cheshire countryside - officially opened its doors this weekend. 20th June.

Located in Bosley on the outskirts of Congleton – the Barefoot showroom brings to life the unique seamless floor finishes in a way that allows visitors to visualise the revolutionary new concept for interiors.

The showroom will now welcome visitors from 10am until 4pm on Saturdays. The centre is also open at the same time on Fridays.

Dawn Gibbins MBE is the founder and CEO of Barefoot.

Winner of this year’s SHE Inspiring Women Awards International Business Woman Award and a former Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year, Dawn has spent the last three decades revolutionising the UK construction industry with seamless resin flooring.

She sold her previous company, Flowcrete, in 2008 after spending almost 30 years at the helm. The company installed floors in locations including Selfridges, Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, Wembley Stadium and Bentley Motors.

Now she has developed Barefoot to bring together her love for seamless flooring and passion for Feng Shui. The floors are based on the uncluttered, harmonic principles of the Far Eastern art.

Utilising clean resin technology, Barefoot’s range includes the natural look flooring Cool Smoothies – which gives the appearance of polished concrete, marble and wood without the maintenance.

Other products include Hot Rocks, the unique therapeutic marble carpet floor with optional underfloor heating, as well as the metallic floor Bedazzle.

The contemporary minimalist ‘poured’ floor finish Smoothies and cool, crisp seamless terrazzo Beaudeco are also on show. 

For exteriors, Barefoot offers the pebble driveway and pathway floor Smart Rocks, along with the natural pebble carpet, Cool Rocks.

The entire Barefoot range was officially launched to rave reviews at Grand Designs Live, in May.

Barefoot plans to open another showroom and retail centre in London in the next 12 months. The company also has a presence in Brazil and Germany.

As well as being the home to Barefoot Floor Couture, the new showroom in Cheshire also houses Barefoot Art, an exhibition space featuring some of the region’s most exciting concepts, and the social enterprise Barefoot Foundation, which works to promote the positive impact Feng Shui can have on people’s day-to-day lives.
