The idea is for everyone to bring along something they have baked, made, grown or bought and to share it with their neighbours

Lunch For All As Barefoot Embraces Good Neighbour Campaign

An invitation to get together for lunch is being offered to the residents of a Cheshire village.

Barefoot is extending the ‘Big Lunch’ invitation for people living close to the company’s new headquarters at Bosley, near Congleton.

We have adopted the idea from the Eden Project, the Cornish eco-centre, which has called on organisations across the UK to join them in being good neighbours and host a ‘Big Lunch’ on July 19.

Zoe Hanks, director of marketing and ethics at Barefoot, said: “The idea is for everyone to bring along something they have baked, made, grown or bought and to share it with their neighbours.  We are relatively new to the area so thought this would be a great way to get to know our neighbours and such lovely surroundings”.

Big Lunch is being held between 12 noon and 2pm on Sunday, July 19, at Barefoot Park, which is located at Bosley Cross Roads.  Barefoot are also calling for people to provide entertainment, and would love to hear from local musicians, singers or entertainers.
